You + your favorite friends + tens of thousands of other parade enthusiasts mean Annapolis and Eastport will be VERY busy. Leave plenty of time for traffic delays before, during and after the parade.
Additionally the Spa Creek Bridge will periodically close between 5:30 and 8:00 pm.
Eastport Bridge
If it’s a warmer or still night, this is the best vantage point. You will see the fleets both above and below the bridge and get a close-up look as they pass through. Cold and/or windy nights her are especially brisk!
Naval Academy
The length of seawall bordering Spa Creek offers a long, unobstructed viewing area. Check ahead to learn what Naval Academy security regulations will be in effect.
City Dock
This is a perennial favorite as viewers have two boat viewing opportunities – collectively as they parade in and individually as they navigate out in the harbor.
Ego Alley
The Alley offers the most up-close look at the sparkling boats and their happy crews.
Aboard Harbor Queen
Watermark’s Harbor Queen is usually moored at the end of City Dock offering music and drinks with proceeds benefitting a local cause.
Other Spots
If you have friends with offices, homes, or boats along the harbor, this is a fine time to renew acquaintances.
Otherwise, consider the walkway in front of Annapolis City Marina in Eastport, or any of the streets below the dead-ends at the harbor or Spa Creek.
